A Reservations trainee is responsible for assisting hotel guests in making reservations for our 3 hotels. She/he must be knowledgeable about the products and services we offer and be able to answer any questions guests may have. In addition to taking reservations, a reservation trainee may also be responsible for managing cancellations, changes to existing reservations, and refunds. She/He is responsible for maintaining the system and follow a checklist

Taking care of the daily tasks written in the checklist and daily reports. Supporting the Cluster Reservations team with:

  • Determines room rates based on the selling tactics of the hotel.
  • Prepares letters of confirmation.
  • Communicates reservation information to the front desk.
  • Processes cancellations and modifications and promptly relays this information to the front desk.
  • Processes advance deposits on reservations. Monitors advance deposit requirements.
  • Tracks future room availabilities based on reservations. Assists in preregistration activities when appropriate.
  • Helps develop room revenue and occupancy forecasts.
  • Ad-hoc duties as required – unexpected moments when we have to pull together as a team to get a task done.

  • Maintaining a high level of guest satisfaction through actively communicating with the guests before, during and after the stay.
  • Ensuring the quality of the hotel product is always at the highest possible level.
  • Making sure all procedures are followed according to voco™ brand standards and IHG guidelines.
  • Ensuring all procedures regarding safety & security are followed closely.
  • Be aware of the Service Operations Standards and procedures of the departments.
  • Promoting teamwork and lifestyle service through daily communication and coordination with other teams. 
  • Responding to telephone inquiries and replying to emails in a timely manner.

  • Effectively communicate with customers over the phone, through email, or in person.

What we need from you

  • Passion for hospitality
  • Student at Hotel Management on University level (HBO) or Business Administration
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Pro-active attitude and eye for detail with a natural drive for continuous improvement.
  • A naturally outgoing and friendly personality with a passion for service excellence in order to consistently deliver and demonstrate voco™, Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn service standards
  • Excellent communication skills in English. Another language is always a plus
