At voco® The Hague everything is new, but this might come with some fine tuning. And… we want to keep everything in the best possible state, and that’s what you are responsible for. As Maintenance Supervisor you get to know the hotel extremely well, you might even get to know every little corner of the hotel. In this role you are responsible for routine maintenance tasks like legionella control and preventive maintenance in rooms, but you also act upon interferences and defects. You know how to prioritize your tasks, and together with the Cluster Maintenance Lead you make sure everything is done. And, don’t forget, there are guests everywhere, so make sure to present yourself as a host.

You are responsible for

  • Understanding and reacting on guest requests in order to guarantee guest satisfaction.  
  • Picking up maintenance requests from all different departments with regards to engineering and safety matters 
  • Advise and perform duties in the preventive maintenance programme to keep the hotel rooms in tip top shape.  
  • Supervising and correcting the team to stick to the safety regulations in order to create a safe environment for guests and fellow colleagues. 
  • You assist in securing the hotel to avoid theft, criminal activity and other dangerous situations from happening.  
  • Guarding the environment by closely monitoring energy usage. 
  • Monitoring and Supervising the maintenance time in order to get all tasks done.  
  • Be aware of the budget and forecasts with regards to maintenance costs and work cost efficiently. 
  • Advising the Cluster Maintenance Lead on possible improvements, costs, problem resolutions and other aspects of the technical department. 
  • Ordering of tools and supplies in a timely and efficient manner to minimalize waste and to pick eco-friendly alternatives. 
  • Building and maintaining partnerships with external contractors, contacts such as guests, regulative organizations, suppliers etc.  
  • Sharing knowledge and best practices with the team 
  • Creating & inspiring others to deliver memorable branded guest experiences.  
  • Promoting teamwork and lifestyle service through daily communication and coordination with other teams.   
  • Ad-hoc duties as required – unexpected moments when we have to pull together as a team to get a task done. This also includes Storingsdienst, this means you come to the hotel in case of an emergency.
